The purpose of the Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club is to advance garden interests and knowledge among its members, to participate in beautification projects in our community and activities for the preservation of nature and natural resources. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, national origin, age, or disability. Learn more about our club history by visiting this page.
Membership is open to any individual who has a genuine interest in the purposes of the Back Mountain Bloomers. Members shall be expected to serve on committees, support club projects, and/or plan a monthly program. They shall vote and pay dues. New members shall be recommended by a member. Any member may invite a proposed new member to be a guest at a meeting on a “space available” basis.
Monthly meetings include programs/workshops on container gardening, herbs, bonsai, gardening for the four seasons and many gardening tips and tools. Our bi-annual luncheon and seminar will be held on October 4th, 2018, at Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas, featuring Kent Russell, 'The Garden Guru'. This event is open to the public.
One of our community projects is the care and maintenance of the Shakespeare Garden at Misericordia University.
Our monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month, usually at 9:30 a.m. at various locations designated on our yearly calendar. If interested in hearing more specific details of planned Bloomer events, contact:
