BLOOMERS’ BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

Additional Information

Bloomers planted 1,000 daffodil bulbs at the head of the Back Mountain Trail's Judith and David Rimple Loop. Also known as the Mile 7 Loop, this section of the trail is located on Lt. Michael Cleary Drive near the Dallas Township Municipal Building and the Geisinger facility just outside of Dallas.  The trailhead is named to honor the Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club that through its biennial garden tour has raised more than $100,000 to support the construction of the trail.  It seems very fitting for the Bloomers to launch their Bloomers’ Beautification Project in 2021 by planting a mass of daffodil bulbs at the trailhead.  Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings, and they are associated with the coming of spring.

Early trailhead photo confirms a late arrival of spring 2022 with many daffodils yet to come.
